GUBERNATORIAL CANDIDATE MARKUS NEYMAN UNDER MICROSCOPE

As if things couldn't get worse for Archconservative Gubernatorial Candidate Markus Neyman. First, his charity auction went up in smoke and flames as a team of well-trained shadowrunners raided it and took every single auction slated for the block. Over ten million nuyen in artifacts were stolen, some of them dating back to before the Egyptian civilization even existed. Not one of the artifacts has turned up for police to get a proper look at to determine who had stolen them, presumably swallowed up by the black market.
Second, his estate was attacked by a concerted group of shadowrunners seeking to undermine his administration and assassinate his wife, Helena Neyman. Evidence of a sniper rifle was found at the scene of the assassination attempt, resulting in heavier security being placed at his home in Renton and relocation of his wife to the coast until the threat of murder dies down.
Third, he has been indicted as having ties to the RENTON RAMBLERS, his banking fingerprints being found over the entirety of the gang's operation. He has vehemently denied all charges, leading sources to suspect that he was responsible for the eventual assassination attempt on his wife by rival interests that did not want the continuation of his gang's presence in Renton. It is unknown to what degree his wife is affiliated with the gang as well, but preliminary reports from the FBI are leading sources to suspect that she is just as heavily elbow-deep in the criminal element as he is.
Fourth, his personal accounts have been drained by an unknown outside element obviously intent on starving him and leaving him to the banks in debt as a loan jumper. He has stated that he committed no wrongdoing and that the entire situation is a series of unwarranted attacks from GOVERNOR BRACKHAVEN to discredit him and ruin him, two long years before the possibility of being elected as Governor even comes to pass.
